Parache Ballroom Dance Studio’s Mission is to teach people to socialize, gain confidence and meet new friends through ballroom dance. I have published articles in AARP to promote public interest and support in regards to the health benefits of dancing. We want fervently to motivate people to get up off their chair and try some healthy, delightful dancing. See you out on the floor!
Juan Parache's Biography
Mexican born Actor, Director and now successful Dancer, Juan has been teaching Ballroom dancing at San Joaquin Delta College and the Stockton Parks and Recreation Department for the past six (6) years. In addition to the teaching, he has been a featured performer in various musical productions at Stockton Civic Theater (Follies, 1940’s Radio Hour, Big River, Li’l Abner) and many others at theater companies throughout California, Oregon, and New York.
He was educated in Mexico and attended College in San Francisco where he studied Music. As a concert violinist (Oakland Symphony) and vocalist; (soloist) Stockton Chorale and (soloist) Oakland Symphony Chorus, he brings solid classical musical training to his dance efforts. He is a sought after DJ for Ballroom dances and his varied background serves him well in his choice of danceable music.
Starting his dance career after a near fatal traffic accident, he became an ardent student of Janet DiPino and John Lee (Sacramento), Jeff Goldberg (San Francisco), and Jeff Czolak (Modesto). He has competed in twelve (12) “International Grand Ball” competitions over the years; achieving ten (10) First Place awards and two (2) Second Place awards.
Juan is a certified Ballroom Dance Instructor in both the DVIDA and Fred Astaire syllabuses. You will find him to be a patient, caring and knowledgeable teacher who will instill a sense of success and a desire to go on to more and varied dances. A feature of his teaching is that he emphasizes technique and not simply the dance figures. Students have said that after Juan’s classes, they learn more quickly in future advanced classes and find themselves comfortable dancing with a new partner. One will always need to be able to follow and to lead whether at a community dance or a family wedding and dance reception.
